I offer Website Care to websites that I create because I know how they were built, and know that they were built right.
If you already have a website that you love but would like to be on my Website Care program then you can apply via the button below. Before I agree to take on a Website Care only client I will need to do a Website Wellness check to make sure there are no exisiting issues that need to be addressed. Got any questions?
A website edit or change task is any simple task that can be completed in 15-30 mins and falls within the existing functionality and scope of the website.
This could include tasks such as:
- updating wording on an exisiting page with supplied content
- adding new content to an existing page
- changing an image on a page to a new supplied image
- publishing a simple formatted blog post* from supplied content and imagery
- reordering content on a page
- changing a lead magnet document to a new supplied document
- adding new fields to a contact form
- adding new questions and answers to a FAQ
Website edits and changes DO NOT include new work, such as new graphic design, new website functionality, new page layouts or any custom work.
In 30 mins of Website edits or change tasks for example, you will usually get 1-2 edits or tasks completed every month.
If in doubt ask me about the edits or tasks you need to be completed and I can let you know if they fall under website edits or I can create a bespoke Website Care plan for you.
* Simple blog post formatting means adding your supplied post title and content, setting basic layout structure such as headings and lists, setting any tags or categories that are specified, adding up to two links where specified, adding supplied meta title and description for SEO, and inserting supplied images (including a feature image). We can provide a template for blog post creation as a Word Doc or Google Doc that you can easily fill out and send to us.
Simple blog post formatting does not include custom designed posts built with a page builder, however, talk to us about a special rate if this is something you require.
No, unused website edit or change task time does not roll-over to the next month.
As a rule, I work on projects and tasks on a first come, first served basis. However, if you are on priority support you will move up the queue.
To request a website edit or change task please send an email or fill out the support form (you will receive this email and link when you join Website Care).
If possible I ask that you do single edit/change submission. For example, if you need a new blog post uploaded and also a new paragraph of content added to your about page, then please send these as 2 separate requests. This ensures that I do not miss any of your changes if they are all bundled together.
If you need a one-off increase in your allocated amount of website edits or change tasks for a single month, get in touch and I can supply you with a per hour rate.
If you need to increase your allocated number of website edits or change tasks permanently, contact me and I can quote you a new Website Care plan with the time you need.
The purpose of these calls is to help you grow your business and get the most out of your website. You can use these calls for training on how to use your website, for strategic planning or for asking questions.
No, if you do not require a call during a month they do not roll-over.
Yes, you do. Hosting plans DO NOT include a domain. You will need to register your own domain (this is best practice as your domain name is a business asset that you should have control of and own, and in some cases, you can only own specific domains if you have a claim to them). I can help you understand domain registration and give you my recommendations for purchasing and managing your domain.
Once you have a domain I can help you set everything up so your domain points to your hosting, it’s usually very simple at most domain registrars.
No, the managed hosting in the Website Care plans DOES NOT include email. My recommendation is that you use G Suite from Google for your website email (you will get a professional email @ your website domain, plus extras including Google Drive cloud storage, video and voice conferencing, and you can set up email aliases such as support@). I can help you with the initial setup, however, it is not covered by our website care plans or support.
The reason I recommend G Suite is simple, they do email very very well. In addition to all of the services, you receive with a G Suite account you also get their high level of security and state-of-the-art system. Plus, they are very affordable.
Other quality email options that I recommend are Microsoft 365 and Zoho.
Yes, you can cancel your Website Care and Hosting at any time. There are no lock-in contracts, however, you will need to pay for the current month you are in. Please note, that if you cancel your Website Care and Hosting your website will be archived and no longer live on my hosting after the conclusion of your current month.
You can also choose to upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
If you need your Website Care or hosting upgraded to be effective immediately you will be required to pay the difference in the monthly fee immediately. Or you can choose to upgrade at the start of the next month. In this case, your new monthly fee will start at the beginning of your next full month.
If you wish to downgrade your Website Care the change will happen at the start of your next month and from then you will be charged the new fee. There are no refunds for downgrades.
If you decide to cancel your Website Care you will retain your website files in their current state at the end of your current month and you will be required to move it to new hosting. Your current hosting with me will be shut down.
You will no longer receive updates to premium plugins and themes (which is important for security). Your website will also no longer have regular backups, security scanning or uptime monitoring.
If you are moving to new hosting I am unable to help with the transfer.
Once your website has been moved or shut down I will provide you with any remaining necessary files and archive your project.
Normally Website Care & Hosting runs on a monthly billing cycle, however, if you would prefer to pay for 12 months (1 year) of your chosen Website Care plan upfront I can arrange that for you plus you will receive a special discount of 1 month free across. Please contact me if you would like to take on a 1 year care plan and I will generate an invoice for you.
Note that if you choose to pay for 12 months (1 year) of a Website Care plans upfront and then decided to cancel your Website Care plan you will not be refunded.
During the year if you need to upgrade your Website Care I will generate a new invoice for the difference for the remaining time of the 1 year that has been paid. However, if you wish to downgrade it will not come into effect until the next year that the website care plan begins.
